Multimodal shipping from China to Bulgaria

China has many trading ports from which goods are sent to Europe. One of the major and main ports is located in Shanghai. The largest port in Bulgaria is in the city of Varna. After delivering the cargo by sea from Shanghai to Varna, the goods can be delivered by truck to any city in Bulgaria that does not have access to the sea.

For shipping goods by sea, containers of various types are used. Most often, customers choose 20-foot and 40-foot containers. These are universal containers suitable for transporting various groups of goods. However, some cargo requires specialized transportation conditions, such as low temperatures – in this case, refrigerated containers are used. There are special modifications for liquid and bulk cargo.

The cost of multimodal delivery is always different; it depends on the weight and volume of the cargo, the countries and distances, the number and types of transport used, the delivery times, and a number of other services provided by the company. An additional service in this case may be assistance in customs documentation, cargo insurance, and others.
