What is oversized cargo?

Oversized cargo is defined as cargo of non-standard dimensions that cannot be transported in a truck train or regular cargo trucks. This includes all structures and products wider than 2.6 meters, taller than 4 meters, and longer than 22 meters. If at least one parameter of the cargo meets these criteria, it is considered oversized, and specialized transport is required for its delivery.

Examples of oversized cargo that are delivered to different countries:

• agricultural machinery;
• industrial and energy equipment;
• construction machinery;
• large diameter industrial pipes;
• pipes and other long cargo;
• boats, yachts, and other watercraft.

What transport for oversized cargo is available on the exchange?

Transportation of oversized cargo of non-standard dimensions is carried out using low loaders. This type of transport allows for the safe delivery of heavy, oversized, and long cargo over long distances. To transport cargo using a low loader, the carrier must obtain the necessary permits and coordinate the delivery route. Drivers delivering such cargo undergo special training.

In all countries, there are certain restrictions on the transportation of oversized cargo, so this type of delivery should be carried out by experienced specialists. If a cargo owner decides to organize the transportation of oversized cargo independently, they will inevitably face bureaucratic problems and time loss. By choosing professional logistics services on our exchange, you will speed up and simplify the organization of delivery.
