How much cargo is transported from Switzerland annually? Is there potential for shipments from this country? What cargo to look for in Switzerland and how to secure orders for a long time? We will answer all these questions in today's material!

What Cargo is Popular in Switzerland

It should be noted that a huge amount of cargo travels from this country to other states every year! In 2022 alone, the total export amounted to 401 billion dollars! The volume of exports is growing annually, and compared to 2021, it increased by 5.61%, which affects the demand for shipping and quality transport services.

So what cargo can be transported from Switzerland? Popular goods for transport from Switzerland include gold, medicines, and other products in the medical field (in particular, human and animal blood for therapy, diagnostics, prevention, and the creation of serums and other medical products). Various goods are also transported from Switzerland: watches, jewelry, medical equipment, and more.

It is obvious that each type of cargo requires special transport and conditions, especially concerning the transportation of medical preparations, biological products, and equipment. Some packaging may be provided by the cargo owners themselves, as transporting blood, for example, requires marked sterile thermocontainers, which, in turn, must be kept in refrigerated vehicles or other specialized packaging and transport.

In many cases, the cargo must also be accompanied by medical personnel. Therefore, the delivery of biomaterials and medicines from Switzerland should be handled by a specialized carrier. However, if you are a transport company with a broad profile, look for cargo that does not require special conditions.
