Looking for transport to ship goods from Indonesia to another country? Then you will definitely appreciate our tips for optimizing your search. We will also discuss the work of carriers so that you clearly understand what you need, whom to look for, and what questions to ask when discussing the request for cargo shipping.

How international carriers operate

Processing the client's request, the transport company calculates the shipping cost of the cargo based on factors such as: weight, volume of cargo, availability of additional services, and the need for certification and customs clearance. Of course, the shipping price will also depend on the distance and the type of transport.

Before shipping goods from Indonesia, the carrier prepares the documents, picks up the goods from the warehouse, and in the case of multimodal transport, collects cargo from different clients to form a single batch, processes the cargo, meaning weighs the goods, packs, and labels them. Next, loading of goods, dispatch, customs clearance occurs, and upon arrival, unloading at the warehouse or reloading onto another transport if necessary. The recipient picks up their batch from the warehouse, or it can be delivered to the door, just like individual goods.

If you are looking for transport in Indonesia, you need to consider the above points and specify which of them need to be fulfilled, as some pick up the cargo batch themselves, while others need it delivered to the client's address. This means that requests vary for everyone.
