Cargo transportation in the United Arab Emirates, how to deliver cargo from the UAE

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a country on the coast of the Persian Gulf in the Middle East. The country is a federation of seven Arab absolute monarchies. The President of the UAE is the monarch of Abu Dhabi. The capital of the federation is also located in Abu Dhabi.

The economy of the UAE is primarily based on giant oil reserves, which drive the country's development and ensure a high standard of living for the indigenous population. Oil revenues are used to create infrastructure for other sectors of the economy, particularly for the tourism industry. Tourists come to the UAE not only, and not even primarily, to sunbathe on the beaches of the Persian Gulf, but also to shop. The UAE has low taxes, and even branded goods can be cheaper than in the country of their production.

State of the transportation system in the UAE

The Emirates strive to keep up with the times and can afford to create the most modern and high-quality infrastructure. However, there are no railways in this country. Other types of modern transport: air, sea, and road transport are available in the country and allow for cargo transportation both to the Emirates from foreign countries and within the country.

The United Arab Emirates share land borders with Saudi Arabia and Oman, and these countries are connected to the UAE by road. The Persian Gulf, on whose shore the Emirates are located, is considered a sea from a hydrographic perspective. Through the Strait of Hormuz, the Persian Gulf is connected to the Arabian Sea, which is part of the Indian Ocean. Accordingly, the delivery of goods to the UAE by sea is possible from all over the world. The UAE can also export goods by sea to all continents of the planet.

State of the road network in the UAE

All Emirates are connected by roads. The roads of the UAE are officially recognized as the best in the world and can serve as a model. The total length of the roads in the UAE is 2000 km. Travel on some highways is toll-based, and there are toll sections on several other roads.

Air cargo delivery to the UAE

There are 8 operational airports in the UAE, but 7 of them are civilian, one for each emirate. Each airport in the UAE is not only an architectural marvel but also a high-tech transport and logistics center. Air cargo transportation is the most expensive way to deliver goods. However, it is widely used in the Emirates. Thanks to low taxes, the UAE is a kind of global trading center where one can comparatively cheaply buy almost any product from any world manufacturer. Therefore, urgent cargo deliveries from the UAE by air transport are in demand.

The most famous airports in the country are located in the Emirates:

• Dubai.
• Sharjah.
• Abu Dhabi.

Cargo transportation by sea

Sea cargo transportation is the cheapest way to deliver goods. Therefore, all goods in the world arrive in the Emirates by sea and only then are distributed around the world by planes as part of groupage cargo. Naturally, sea transport is also used for the export of oil and liquefied gas from the UAE. In addition, sea transport is used for re-export cargo when such a decision has been made by the purchaser.

There are a total of 23 ports operating in the UAE. The most well-known ports are:

• Dubai.
• Abu Dhabi.
• Fujairah.

What is exported from the UAE

The main export goods are oil and liquefied gas. They are exported by tankers and gas carriers. In addition, a large volume of export transportation is created by the re-export of goods produced outside the country from the UAE.
